The 1998 User Group was held in Downtown Milwaukee for the first time.
Attendees were invited to meet the Quasar*Systems Staff at a Downtown
restaurant, known as the Safe House, the night prior to the meeting.
Meetings on Thursday and Friday were led by Quasar*Systems Staff
and our guest speaker, Manderville Corbin. A dinner was held
in honor of the Attendees on Thursday night at local restaurant
known for its German cuisine.
Items of interest from the meeting:
User Group Round Table - This lively session is held by the users
without Quasar*Systems personnel present. Users are encouraged
to discuss any issues that concern them.
Windows Overview. Jim demonstrated the evolution of R² into windows.
Because we have tried to make this an evolution, we don't expect
a major relearning curve for our clients. The windows upgrade
will be automatic for all clients under maintenance.
Problem Solving. Users of all levels and experience worked together
to solve problems. This event proved to be one of the more
popular sessions.
