The 1999 User Group was the first time a theme was used for the two
day conference. We thought it would be interesting to get
our clients involved in discussions while having a good time.
Mr. Wizard and Tutor Turtle came to entertain and answer questions
about reinsurance processing.
Mr. Wizard is our resident expert and problem solver, while Tutor
Turtle is our adventurous and inquisitive problem inventor.
Together these two can tackle any problem.
Items of interest from the meeting:

The New User's Workshop - This session was held for the benefit of
new and semi-new R² users. A review was given on the programs
in the R² directory structure, the flow of the system, different
types of trailers, and sorting for binary searches.
Interactive Problem Solving - Users pool their abilities together to solve
the common and uncommon problems associated with running the R²
system.
Guest Speaker discussions that focused on ceding companies and reinsurers.
These two sessions gave clients a bit of background about what
happens after they use the system.
User Group Roundtable - A session involving only Users, not Quasar*Systems
staff, allows the Users to discuss what they like and dislike
about the company.

Users also got to experience some of the sights in Milwaukee. A
welcome get together was held Wednesday evening at the Safe House,
a 1920's speakeasy. Thursday night provided a dinner at Milwaukee's
Rock Bottom Brewery, right along the river. Users also had
a bit of time to explore the city, go shopping, hear music, or just
wander.
