User Group 2002

Like all User Group meetings, UGM 2002 kicked off with a night out for some casual eats in the Milwaukee Downtown.

The previous night's getting-to-know-each-other fun yielded a need to perk up
a little bit before taking on the rigors of User Group Learning. Norbert
was only too happy to lead the way.

Then the our attendees girded their minds for a guided system run-though, broken
up by learning sessions. In this year's User Group, we engaged in a points
competition for which table made the fastest run-through with the most
correct (and creative) decisions along the way.

This included walking through the process of how companies create products,
and then figure out how to reinsure them through treaties, and finally
how to configure R² to reflect these changes made. Everybody in this
exercise had a role: some were administrators, actuaries, treaty specialists,
coffee gophers, and the brains behind their company's operations. In this
model, everyone helped each other through a successful R² run.

We try to keep User Group as fun as possible, which everyone likes to take
in as they learn. Other fun takes their throbbing minds off the learning
during break time.

All the fun doesn't take away from the intensity displayed by our attendees
- that refuse to give up the real challenges of improving their R²
method.

We value all our clients, and cannot wait to see you again at next year's User Group!
